This Privacy Policy describes how NoTerra Farms LLC (“we” or “us”) collects, uses, and shares your personal information when you use our website noterrafarms.com and any of our subdomains (the “Website”).
Personal information we collect
When you visit the Website, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and approximate location (city and region). Additionally, as you browse the Website, we collect information about the individual web pages that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Website, and information about how you interact with the Website. We refer to this automatically collected information as “Device Information”.
We collect Device Information using the following technologies:
- “Cookies” and similar browser storage are data files placed on your device that often include an anonymous unique identifier. For more information about cookies, and how to disable cookies, visit www.allaboutcookies.org.
- “Log files” track actions occurring on the Website, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, referring and exit pages, and date and time stamps.
- “Tags” are small pieces of code that record how you browse the Website.
When you first visit, we ask whether you accept analytics cookies. If you accept, we remember your device between visits and load Google Analytics. If you decline, we still count page views, but only for your current visit, and your visits are not connected to one another. You can set your browser not to accept cookies; some features may not function if you do. Please note that we do not alter our Website’s data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser.
We also collect data you provide to us directly (“Provided Information”), when you complete our contact form, email us, ask a question from within one of our documents, or provide your name and email address to view a private document. The Provided Information we collect may include your name, email address, organization, and the content of your messages.
When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Provided Information.
Private documents
Some documents on the Website, such as our presentation and proposal, are private and are shared with specific people. To view one, you provide your name and email address (and, optionally, your organization), or you open a personal link we sent you. We then record how that document is viewed, and associate that record with you: when you opened it, which pages or slides you viewed and for how long, how far you read, how many times you returned, the device and approximate location you viewed from, and any questions you send us from within the document.
If you accepted analytics cookies, your earlier visits to the Website from the same device are also associated with you once you identify yourself. We use this information to understand your interest in the project and to follow up with you. It is available only to the NoTerra Farms team and the service providers who host it for us.
How we use your Personal Information
We use Provided Information to communicate with you, to answer your questions, to send you the personal links you request, and to follow up on your interest in NoTerra Farms. We use Device Information to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Website, for example by generating analytics about how visitors browse and interact with the Website and its documents.
How we share your Personal Information
We share your Personal Information with third parties only to help us use it as described above. We use Google Analytics, when you have accepted analytics cookies, to help us understand how our visitors use the Website. You can read more about how Google uses your Personal Information at www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/, and opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
The types of third parties with whom we might share elements of your Personal Information include providers of website hosting and databases, providers of email delivery tools, providers of data aggregation and analytics software services that allow us to monitor and optimize our Website, and providers of security and fraud prevention tools and services.
We do not sell your Personal Information. We may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.
How we store your data
We process and store your data using the following providers: Vercel (website hosting and cookieless traffic analytics), Supabase (database), Google Workspace and Google Analytics, Resend (email delivery), and Cloudways (content management). Please visit their individual websites for information on the physical location of their servers where your information is stored.
We use commercially reasonable security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction of any information that may be stored on our servers. Of course, no computer network or data transmission on the internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure and so you submit your information at your own risk. We will maintain your Personal Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.
If you provide your email address to view a document or contact us, you agree to receive email from us related to that request, including your personal link and our replies. You have the right at any time to stop us from contacting you; reply to any email or write to us at the address below.
